Rhythm Oil is a 5-piece band from Waycross, GA that specializes in 60s, 70s and 80s dance music. The band consists of musical veterans whose combined talents cover over 40 years of playing experience in some well-know groups. Rhythm & Oil has twice backed legendary soul singer and rock and roll hall of fame inductee Percy Sledge during his local performances. The band also lends their talents annually to the Gram Parsons Guitar Pull and Tribute and as a back-up band to Grammy nominee Lona Heins in 2003 and shared the stage in 2004 with Bernie Leadon, formerly of The Eagles. Rhythm Oil’s repertoire ranges in style from country to rock and rhythm & blues to beach music with a major emphasis on classic Top-40 dance music.
